The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This is a good distinction to put on this type of cache and would like to see it used on every cemetery cache here in Michigan. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours, Michigan law states that you are only permitted to visit cemeteries dawn to dusk through out the state unless other hours are posted.
We have all seen this notice at the beginning of the description of caches hidden in or around cemeteries. These caches have brought us to places we would never have visited or even known about. The graves of unknown soilders, city founders and just plain folk. I have enjoyed these types caches ever since my first SQ visit. I have also enjoyed placing a few of these caches to bring other cachers to little known burial grounds.
The cache is located in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery - a little cemetery tucked in where I would least expect to find a place of final rest. Parking is available on the east side of the cemetery. Be sure to take a moment to look at the tombstones. There are many German names listed.
To gain credit for this cache you must have logged 185 found cemetery caches with the letters "SQ" in the cache name. If the cache name has Spirit Quest written out, feel free to count that in your total.
You can demonstrate the logging requirement any way you wish like creating a bookmark list or listing the finds in your log.
