How The Mighty Are Fallen Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Jambutty: The area has been opened up and is no longer somewhere interesting to explore. Still good for walks, but a new location for a geocache would be better.

Geocache Description:

A crafty but simple geocache; hidden in plain sight.

If you have seen my other caches you'll know I like wood, and this is no different; it could be part of the general debris - it relies on blending in to avoid detection. If you park at the Viewpoint on Gravelly Hill it is only a short walk away, but that shouldn't stop you enjoying a bit of a hike or cycle on The North Downs Way. The title refers - not surprisingly - to a large tree; actually, the main trunk is still standing, but all the branches have come down. The cache is under one of the fallen branches, amongst all the other debris. Take care when opening please! NOTE: August 2016 - As Caterham School are having lots of work done in the woods, the area around this tree has been altered. I have moved the cache about 2 metres, and placed it alongside (slightly under) one of the branches now used to line the footpath to the tree. Better (I hope) hint for those geocaching with kids, to speed the find.
