ssphoto: I decided to archive this cache due to low visitation. Went to check on it anyway this morning and found that the Chirp was still alive and kicking. Perhaps I'll placed another one later.

Geocache Description:

At Gander Mountain Forest Preserve. Parking along Wilmot Road. The posted coords is your starting point. (Trailhead)

This is a CHIRP cache by nature, however there is an alternate plan for those w/o compatible devices.

I have been to this park many times and noticed an open spot for placement. This place is beautiful all year round. The tree stands here are impressive. There are not only oak trees, but hickory, maple and many other species, too. The gravel road coming through here evokes pleasant thoughts and memories for me, not only in its nature and appearance, but also in its history. Enjoy the hike, it's not too hard, but there may be some bushwhacking at times.

For those folks without a chirp compatible device, like the Oregon or Garmin 62s, there is an alternate plan of attack. (See hint) For CHIRP users, begin at the trailhead waypoint and head south down the trail. It won't be long before your GPSr picks up the marker -- roughly 470 feet down the trail. NOTE: as you head down the trail, remember this is the chirp location you're aiming for; do not hunt for anything here! Just wait for the signal from the CHIRP! If you don't get a connection to the CHIRP, then proceed back to the trailhead and use the projection method, please.
