Geocache Description:

I've been doing an investigation into what some people might call an "invasion". I have discovered that beings from Mars are building a base of operations just south of Topeka.

I have been able to hack into datastreams broadcast by the Curiosity Rover containing highly classified information NASA doesn't want the general public to discover. I am trusting my fellow cachers with what I have discovered because I need your help.

First, analysis of the environment on Mars has determined that in order to live in the harsh conditions that exist on Mars, any lifeforms must be small, and...most likely...candy coated. Apparently a candy coating protects them from the extreme temperature changes that occur on the surface.

Secondly, and more important, the rover has detected a potential launch site labeled: GC41EX7. I haven't been able to parse the data to determine corresponding landing coordinates on earth but I'm hoping someone else will be able to before the landing occurs.

Do not go to the listed coordinates on this page. This location is in the heart of Mars-owned territory and should not be accessed by anyone from our planet. However, if someone determines the landing site please check it out but proceed with caution. When you go take appropriate TOTT for dealing with small items.

Here is a copy of the planetographic I received from the Rover. Click the photo for an enlarged version. Do not let this fall into the wrong hands.

If you believe you know where the landing zone is you can check with the Rover here: Mars Attacks!.
