Pamlico County Junior and Brownie Girl Scout Troops 90 and 315 placed this cache to discover geocaching, connect with other geocachers, and take action by maintaining the geocache. This cache helps Junior Girl Scouts earn their Geocacher badge and Brownie Girl Scouts earn their Letterboxing badge.
This cache is in the beautiful Latham-Whitehurst Nature Park. Girls Scouts filled the container with Girl Scout swaps and encourage other girl scouts to take and leave swaps to connect with other troops. There is room in this container for trackables.
Ink pad and stamp are for letterboxing and are not trade items.
This is a medium sized camoflouge plastic container. Park in the public parking area and enjoy a walk on the wide, well maintained trails. Trails are marked with many educational signs describing the flora and habitats within the park. Restroom facilities are available at the parking area and near the creekside docks. Park is open 8 a.m. to dusk.
