Geocache Description:

Event to be held in City Park.
We will meet at the posted co-ords which is a new Morning Call coffee house in City Park at 9:00 A.M. on 12-8-12.
Once we chat and sign the log book we will form groups and hunt down the 60-70 caches in the vicinity of City Park.
City Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in the U.S. Its filled with live oak trees draped with spanish moss dating 400-600 years old.
Duels were fought here and the Peristile and other structures date to 1907.....many structures also date to the works program on the 1930's.
Gary Player, Arnold Palmer and others competed here when the Park used to host the PGA tour and some clubhouse buildings remain. A section of pre New Orleans Bayou Metairie still remains here.
