Geocache Description:

Congratulations to fly_fish for the FTF!

Eleven months out of the year, this is just another ammo can in the woods. (Admittedly, some really pretty woods!) But during the Christmas season, this cache is a little more special. Your task is to hike into the woods and find the Christmas Tree. Not only are you to find the tree, but you should bring something to help decorate the tree! Just imagine the non-Geocacher hiking through the woods and coming upon a fully decorated tree! If you don't happen to observe Christmas, feel free to bring a decoration of something important to you. (However, any bulldawg decorations are placed at their own risk! )

This is an easy hike of less than 1/2 of a mile with very moderate elevation change. Only the last part of the hike is off-trail. It should be easily accessible for children of almost any age.

Please be aware that while this should be a non-hunting area, hunters have been known to use this area and appropriate clothing should be worn.

The cache is initially stocked with kid friendly items, an unactivated geocoin, the turtle pathtag from Going Caching 2012, and an unactivated travel bug from Going Caching 2012.

Sometime not long after Christmas there will be an event to come and take everything off of the tree.

The easiest way to get to the parking coordinates is to go to the back of the Tributary subdivision. Turn onto Ashton Old Rd. from Riverside Parkway. Follow Ashton Old all the way to the back of the subdivision and turn onto the gravel road. Just before the parking coordinates, the gravel road forks and you should take the left fork.
