Geocache Description:

Gortroe is a small hamlet near Youghal in East Cork. However, compared to the many other Gortroes' around the country - in Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway to name but a few, this is indeed a city by comparison.

Boasting a church, school, parish hall, 2 shops and a nursing home, Gortroe is a vibrant country community with strong traditional country values. Primarily an agricultural area, Gortroe also benefits from its proximity to the sea. You will note the pleasant landscaping both in the village and at the turnoff from the main Cork-Waterford road, all done voluntary by the local hall committee.

The cache is a very small circular container.
