For this find be prepared for an adventure that will take you across the Oribi Gorge and into the Lake Eland Nature Reserve. Keep your wits about you and your eyes open as they soak up the beauty of the natural surroundings.
From Durban take the N2 south towards Port Shepstone. Stay on the N2 as it goes inland to Kokstad. Follow the good signage by turning off the N2 about 11Km from Port Shepstone. On the other side of the Gorge , proceed to Lake Eland Nature Reserve. Day Visitors pay R40 per person to enter the park.
There are loads of animals in the park, use the park roads to explore, be sure to view the gorge. The cache can be found around a prominent group of trees next to the road. The giraffe family love to hang out nearby so give them a gentle greeting on your way past.
