Geocache Description:

Now that's a turtle cache by Lucky_Turtle

Update. 9/8/2020. This was my second cache, first placed a long time ago (2012). Back then, I thought I'd be creative by building a cache vaguely shaped like a turtle. Years and experience have better informed that tendency because my various creative builds had a tendency to fall to pieces especially if there's a lot of duct tape involved--and that's if the local kids left it alone. Older and wiser now, my builds have taken on a new form and tendency. An updated lucky_turtle cache usually has these characteristics:

[] Needlessly complex, usually worked into shape involving drills, scrap wood, and other little metal bits.

[] Some camo, natural or otherwise (That's mostly D4wMike's fault, although a lot of my caches have disappeared because I didn't hide them well enough.)

[] Spraypaint. I really like metallic colors.

[] A bit off path with some venturing out.

I also looked at the old spot I'd chosen (for a 1* difficulty, what was I thinking?). Granted, it's changed a lot. It used to be a bush on a hill. Now, it's a dead tree space surrounded by tall pokey things that stick in your socks and scratch your legs. So, I moved it a little closer to the path, and I changed the difficulty to reflect the new build.

Continuing a theme of building (hopefully) creative and interesting turtle caches and given that my first cache disappeared a week after I planted it, We're trying a different place.  This one is somewhat difficult to travel to depending on where you start.  There is a path that leads you most of the way there.  The area is isolated and free from muggles.  I'm guessing you might spot this cache if you get within 10 feet of it so it shouldn't be hard to find.  We were using my phone for coordinates, so don't hold me to the exact spot. Unless you want a serious challenge, you might not want to do this one during rain or just after.  Watch for mud, muck, bird poop, broken glass or water on the path.  Place is a little spooky at night. (That's when turtle placed it.)
