Geocache Description:

This geocache is NOT at the posted coordinates.

This cache will take you to Dizzy's final resting place, about 2 miles from the rest area. The posted coordinates will take you to the front left corner of the building, where you will find a plaque. Note the year Dizzy started with the Cardinals and the year he ended with the Cubs.

His grave is in the center of the cemetery, near the big cedar tree.

Jay Hanna "Dizzy" Dean was a famous baseball player from the 1930's and 40's. After he retired from baseball, he was a baseball sports broadcaster in the 1940's and 50's. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953. The St Louis Cardinals retired his number (17) in 1974.
