I was very glad to see a new boardwalk through this park on Viscount; the City of London seems to be paying more attention to its parks and footpaths recently, and I hope it's a trend that continues. It reminds me of the dense footpath network in the UK, which is represented on the equally impressive and detailed Explorer series maps from the Ordnance Survey; I hope someday that similar paths could run through Canadian urban areas and farms like they do in this area near Chesham and all over the UK; all are signposted and permanent; it's an incredible and practical way to get from town to town (and makes for the most amazing caching)...
- green dotted lines are footpaths
- green dashed lines are footpaths and bridleways
- diamond lines are specially named long distance national paths (akin to the Bruce Trail)
I highly recommend anyone vacationing in the UK, with or without plans to cache, grab a copy of the relevant Explorer series map and wander on any green lines like those below...
The cache itself isn't easily reached from a wheelchair I'm sorry to say, however, the boardwalk is wheelchair friendly, and has two passing places if need be.
