A Grab and Go cache with historical and sentimental value.
This town was incorporated in 1882. This semi-restored Sinclair Gas Station was originally built in 1924, converted to a maintenance shed and used by the town for storage. It was purchased by my father who has began the restoration. This gas station is located on the historic Ayrline highway which arrived in Redding May 1911; platted as the shortest distance between Des Moines and St. Joseph that has since been replaced by US HWY 169. As you look towards the center of town you will see the town square which has a nice playground to let the kids play or to picnic in. You can also see the old livery barn building and the brick Smith Brothers Millenary building. The old hitching rail is still on the west side of the square. The cache itself is a blue water tight box with a logbook and trinkets to trade.
