Geocache Description:

There are a few different ways to approach Raptor Ridge. You can start at Pine and Cedars trailhead and hike to where it meets the Hemlock Trail intersection at 1.7 miles or you can hike 3.4 up from the North Chuckanut trailhead to where the Raptor Ridge Trail begins. This cache is placed on the way along the Hemlock Trail just past the intersection with the Salal trail.

Today I made a loop of it connecting Hemlock Trail with the Lost Lake Trail via the newish Raptor Ridge Connector Trail. This is an moderate 8-9 mile loop, and I can tell you from personal experience it is excellent in the snow.

You can download most of the trails for this hill from here.. You can find a Whatcom County Trail cartoon map here..

You are looking for a flare can, similar to an ammo can. This flare can was placed about 4 years ago up on Goat Mountain near Baker and never got published. I hiked up this year and retrieved it and decided to place it here.

This cache was placed on Thanksgiving Day while I was out walking with my guy and my dog. We ran into some hikers that told us the average American consumes 3600 calories in one meal on T-day. This might be a good way to work some of that off.
