I'm thankful for being able to hike and enjoy these beautiful mountains here in Western North Carolina!  And Bearwallow Mountain offers you a great place to spend the day hiking out in the woods. 


Happy Thanksgiving!

Mr Cachn'Zoom and I placed this cache on Thanksgiving Day ... When we hiked to the TOP to enjoy our Thanksgiving picnic .... turkey, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, apple cider and even PIE with whipped cream!!!  We had a great time ... and after we were able to get UP after such a wonderful meal ... we set off to find the perfect hiding spot.  I'm glad it was ALL down hill back to the geomobile!

You can either hike DOWN to the cache or hike UP to the cache from the trail ... after eating such a delicious meal on the TOP of the mountain, I was happy to be hiking DOWN to the hiding spot.

Park at the posted parking coords.  Then start your hike ... you can take either the fire road to the top then come down the trail or take the trail and grab this cache on your way to the top.  Both routes offer a good workout!
You'll find this cache hidding in plain sight ...
