Geocache Description:

Escondido Canyon Park geocache, just off main trail to the waterfall.

This is the second of our four 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' geocaches along the trail to the Escondido Falls in Escondido Canyon Park.

Parking is about a mile from the park entrance down close to PCH, where there is a small parking lot. If it's full, there is PCH roadside parking close to the Winding Way lot. You have to walk up through a residential neighborhood before actually getting to the park entrance.

The roadside trail is unshaded, but once in the canyon, there is lots of tree cover. Best time of year is spring or after it rains, so that the falls will really be running. Not being spring-fed, it can sometimes run dry. This is a very popular trail; being early might help with getting a precious parking spot and also for avoiding crowds.

This cache is too small!

Baby Bear is a camouflaged micro container, off of the main trail, along the side of the stream bed. There's room for a few small trade items.

So you've hiked and hiked and now at this boring sight of a boring book, "The three bears and goldilocks". Wouldn't it be nice if someone at least colored the black and white cover? A splotch of green, pink, black, and purple, mixing in all the color personalities and making the tale INTERESTING. If only people would BELIEVE in these tales, they just need a bit more sugar and spice. And everything nice. And a world with extra love! I believe that there is special treasure in the fantasy land trapping all beliefs and wonders. What if you opened that chest. Where would it be? What would the land around it be like? It would be nice if you created a map of the fantasy world. Maybe even paint or draw a picture of what you imagine what it looks like in that treasure box. If you do, please note it in your log. Maybe even include pictures of your creations!

Caching may be big sometimes, but this cache is too small!
