Christmas in the Park
Hosted by: Gilligan, Maryjane, Pip and Tif
Date: December 15, 2012
Time: 10:30am
Location: Chamberlains Park
It's Christmas time, or it soon will be and we wanted to celebrate with our geocaching pals!!! We thought we'd put a little christmas twist on our usual event (more on that in a minute)... and we're also taking our chances by having this one outside in mid-December!
What's the plan?
We're asking all geocaching groups who plan to attend to a) indicate so on this event page and b) to bring a small wrapped gift ($5-10 range)... Items should be "geocaching related", be it a new container, some swag for trading, a trackable, tim horton's gift card, etc. We'll be bringing along a few extras presents in case anyone forgets or is unable to bring something along.
All gifts will be placed under the tree and through a yet to be determined process, will be distributed among geocachers.
The usual mingling will also be included, along with some hot chocolate and christmas snacks.
Parking: Please park in the Old Irving Station Lot (Look for the mail boxes)... Follow the side walk along the CBS highway to the trail head which is located just west of the parking area. The park has recently put in a new board walk which will bring you to ground zero. Do not walk across the grassy/bog, while it is the shortest path it to the event, it is certainly not the path of least resistance!
Remember to dress appropriately as this event will be going ahead rain, snow or shine.
Come on out and show us your Christmas spriit!
