We’ve lived in Maynard MA since 2002 and decided to create a puzzle cache that provides a tour of our quaint little town that touches on areas of historic, commercial or general interest.
This is not a particularly night-friendly cache although it would not be impossible. Also the final location is in proximity to residential housing so stealth is warranted when the trees are sans leaves. We used a fairly old Garmin for placements so please suggest more accurate coordinates in your log if you find they’re off.
The coordinates for each location are for parking. The coordinates for the first location are provided in full. From there you need to provide a numeric answer to the question and use that number to replace ? or ?? in the next location. In some cases you may need to get out of your car and look around, or walk a short distance. In one location you will need to know the name of the street you’re on. Location #7 is a trailhead, GZ is a short hike into the woods.

Preparation: Before you begin you will need to prepare a list of the songs and track numbers from the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour record.

Count the number of letters in the name of the product sold by the establishment.

Look around to find some cubes. Count the total number of cubes (including ones not visible). Add 74 to this number.

Look around and count the number of levels on which you can park (including ground). Add 3 to this number.

What year was the Maynard Trust Co. incorporated? Add the individual digits of the year. Subtract 4 from this number.

Count the number of the largest neon letters.

Look up and around. Count the number of balusters. Divide by 4.
Location #7: N 42 26.328 W 071 27.6?1
What is the track number? Double this number and subtract 1.
