Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed with the kind permission of the RSPB. This is cache number 11 of 13 along the red trail route at Lake Vrynwy. It is a continuous steady climb and sometimes strenuous climb all the way to the top from where you will have stunning views of the lake, hills, moorlands and forests of this beautiful reserve.

Follow the red trail to the GZ where you will have stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains weather permitting. The view is worth the hike but it is colder here than below as you are exposed to the changing weather conditions.
The Buzzard is the commonest large bird of prey. It is basically brown and when in flight, soars showing a fan-shaped tail and v-shaped wings and feed on voles, birds and rabbits. The cache contains a log book, pencil, few small swag items, a small token for the first to find and is suitable for small travel bugs and coins.
Due to the nature of the work undertaken by the RSPB and the forestry commission it may at times become necessary to temporarily disable this cache and we ask that you respect our decision to do this.
