The fifth of December nineteen ninety two,
The exile is over our dream has come true,
Charlton at home there's no more I require,
Singing Valley Floyd Road my only desire...
The club returned to The Valley 20 years ago. I was 7, and probably not fully aware of the significance at the time. Looking back on it now, I can see how important it was that my club came home. Some of my favourite memories are at this stadium, watching Charlton with my Dad and brothers. If the club hadn't have returned, I wouldn't have those memories.
This stadium is special. Take a while to walk around it, and read about its history, and the story of the club's exile and return. It's a must for any football fan.
Still watching, still hoping...
Cache is placed above head height, hidden in almost plain sight. It is probably too high for children or wheelchair users.
