Take a scenic drive along famous Chuckanut Drive. Grab this cache while you're at it.
Chuckanut Drive runs along the side of the Chuckanut Mountains; following the shoreline a couple hundred feet above sea level. The elevation allows for spectacular views of the San Juan Islands, the bays, the mountains to the west on Vancouver Island, as well as the Olympic Peninsula.
The winding road with its awesome scenery and geologic wonders, travels generally northward through part of the oldest state park in Washington, 2,683-acre Larrabee State Park.
