Six Mile Hill Road #14 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

glazedglasses: It is time. We had a lot of fun hiding this little mini-series of caches, but yes, it is time to now archive them. We haven't been able or had the time to maintain them like we should, and that is a big factor as to why we are archiving them. It's not fair to have cachers drive all the way out to try to find them if the caches are missing or not in good condition. We made a day...President's Day...of it, going out and collecting all of the containers. We invited the Mountain Jewels Ranchers to help us find and retrieve them, and they were able to hang in there to find about 18 of them. THAT was a lot of fun! The sky was beautifully blue, but there was a brisk and chilly breeze off and on. Indeed, only one container was missing. Sigh...there were several of the hides that were really pretty fun, but now the road out to the end of Six Mile Hill and Beyond Six Miles will be open for other cachers to hide some caches. Thanks to everyone that found our hides!

Geocache Description:

This one is just a few feet off of the road...oh yes, by the way...did you take the right road out to these last two?  It's always a good idea to keep a Forest Service map in your geo-rig when you are out in the woods.  Some roads are marked with an official number, but they may actually end up being nothing more than a mere trail.  We know this for real!  Lol...and we couldn't turn around, so we had to just keep going forward.  So having a map and using the legend can really be helpful to make sure you stick to the roads most travelled, and prevent you from getting lost.  Map reading is elementary in high school Earth Science class (lol...if you remember what you learned).

Congrats to S.A.R.29 for FTF!
