As a child I went to Irvine Park every weekend. I knew all the trails by heart, where the best place was to find lizards and my favorite- horseback riding! When hiking recently I noticed some steps off the trail and realized they went down to a small parking lot. (steps-hint) I remembered them from long ago and decided I needed to put a cache here. Irvine Park is one of my favorite places in the world and will always remind me of being young and free. Enjoy the park.
Cache is a small film canister sized container. Just off the trail, but just barely. Please watch out for snakes and poison oak. Be aware there is an entrance fee of $3 weekdays and $5 weekends. Congrats to RavRobin and Foon for FTF! #1 is the same place I found it, which is under a rock, right in front of a tree. The tree has a triangle shaped burn spot about 7 inches tall, down near the bottom. That’s how I found it, because previous logs referred to the cache being damaged from fire. The cache is also 5 to 6 feet away from those wooden stairs, I estimate. I hope that helps.
