This cache is dedicated to the Delaney brothers, Ollen and Robert (RC) Delaney that served our country in World War II.
About fifteen years ago, my husband was driving down a road in Columbus Arkansas and noticed a pile of trash on side of the road. He got out and noticed some letters laying in the trash. He gathered them up and brought them home. We discovered the letters were from Ollen and Robert (RC) Delaney that were written to Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Delaney. We have previously visited the Columbus cemetery and found Robert's grave site. However, we wondered what happened to Ollen. On November 24, 2012 we decided to place a cache in the cemetery dedicated to the Delaney brothers. We noticed on the back of Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Delaney's headstone was a memorial to Ollen who was killed in action in France in November of 1944. Ollen was buried in Saint Avold National Cemetery in France.
