This cache is just up the road from Eagle Rock, that big rock formation you see to the east. Across the road is where Eagle Rock Ski Area used to be. I worked there many years ago. I was never much of a skier, but it was sad to see it close.
There was a cache here once, up on top of Eagle Rock, but it kept disappearing. And so did the cache owner. It was never replaced so it was archived. I thought about putting mine up there somewhere, but there are usually nesting eagles here, and I thought it best not to.
