Geocache Description:

A Small Lock-N-Lock

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. You must do some simple math to find the final coordinates.

I tried a direct approach from the trail to the east and it was pretty rugged. Your best approach might be to grab Protostar first and head south.

To solve for the Final Location
Go to the Wikipedia Page for "Red dwarf" (not the the television sitcom).
Locate the 4 digit number representing the star number for one of the largest red dwarfs, Lacaille.

North Coordinates
Take 1016.16 and divide it by the star number
Subtract it from the posted coordinate.

West Coordinates
Take 2242.56 and divide it by the star number
Subtract it from the posted coordinate.

Some information
Red Dwarf stars are smaller than our sun. And since they are smaller, they also have less mass. Because of their small size, these stars burn their fuel very slowly, which allows them to live a very long time. This also causes these stars to not shine as brightly as others. Some red dwarf stars will live trillions of years before they run out of fuel.

Red dwarfs are by far the most common type of star in the Milky Way galaxy, at least in the neighborhood of the Sun, but due to their low luminosity, individual red dwarfs cannot easily be observed. From Earth, not one is visible to the naked eye.
