A single sentry stands guard over vast fields
Keeping in -- what?
Once fence rows marked boundaries, gave shelter and habitat.
Time passes, things change.
Located on S 75 E. This is a quiet place to regard the surrounding fields undisturbed. A lot has changed since the original native peoples lived around here. When Brookston was built by the coming of the railroad, these fields were plowed by horses. Prior to 1900 Brookston was the biggest rail head for agricultural products between Lafayette and Chicago.
The cache container is a re-purposed peanut butter jar.
We always love it when you post a photo!
Kudos to TheWeisMan for First to Find!
