Geocache Description:

Park inside the first Wilderness Center entrance gate at (N40° 40.32’ W81° 38.40’) stay outside the inner gates if you will linger past 5 p.m. Follow the Pond Trail that circles the pond you see to the south. The cache is near, but not on, the tower. Stay on the trail until you reach the tower.

This is a great family outing cache. At about the halfway point of the mile-long trail you come to a beautiful tower overlooking the terminal moraine of the glaciated landscape. It is a great view! While looking from the tower, check your GPS. The cache is not on the tower, but nearby. The cache is located in a camouflage painted PVC tube with a Wilderness Center Decal on the outside. The starting contents are some Wilderness Center logo pins, some acrylic Wilderness Center logo ornaments and some “Cat’s Meow’s” of the Interpretive Building before its renovation.
