Mellow Yellow Traditional Cache

A cache along the Yellow Trail in Krantzkloof Nature Reserve.

Please note that cache location is at the bottom of the gorge and will require a medium to strenuous hike.

Set aside two hours for this cache and collect a few others along the yellow trail at the same time.

Molweni River

In order to find this cache you will need to visit the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve and hike along the Yellow trail.

A small admission charge is levied (R20 per adult, R10 per child at the time of publishing) Holders of Rhino Cards gain free admission.

Follow the Yellow Trail to the bottom of the gorge. Be sure to arrange a hiking party of at least two persons and take sufficient water with you.

You will need to make two crossings of the Molweni River. Note that after heavy rains this may not be possible. Check at the KKNR offices before leaving the picnic area. During the winter months (May - September) the Molweni is usually easily crossed using stepping stones.
