Once a year we ride to Halls Gap with the SABERS ride group and stay for a couple of nights.
This year, my muggle partner and I stayed for a few extra days and this gave me time to hide a cache so that I know where to return to next year! ;)
Please watch out for the rabbit burrows which are very close to the cache! Broken legs are not required to score a smiley on this cache! Also, please leave the pencil sharpener in the cache along with the pencil for signing the log!
A 1litre sistema hidden just off the side of a dirt road near our favourite Grampians Getaway.
You may even see some of the zoo animals from here and if you get a chance, you may want to visit the pretty zoo.
If you want somewhere to stay, there are some rather unusual pyramid shaped cabins nearby that are lovely to stay in as each has it's own little balcony with a view of the lake where you can catch trout or canoe to your heart's content.
As always with rural caches, please be aware that muggles may be very afraid of unknown people in their area, especially during fire season! If you are asked, let them know that you are geocaching rather than one of our often used 'distractions', just to be safe!
