The Ross Library, Lock Haven, PA is hosting an Event Cache! At one PM on January 12, cachers are invited to come and enjoy a social hour while promoting geocaching!
Geocaching is a growing sport everywhere, and is catching on rapidly in central Pennsylvania! This is an opportunity for experienced geocachers to come and promote geocaching to newbies, or people who would simply like to begin!
In the Gross Room on the third floor of the Ross Library, all cachers are invited to get together and socialize, discuss caching stories, and answer questions. Tips on caching will be given, trackables will be traded. Experienced cachers are invited, as well as new cachers interested in learning!
If you've been caching for years now, you are welcome to come!
If you just recently signed up for a caching account, you are welcome to come!
If you've found a few caches but have questions, you are welcome to come!
If you've heard of geocaching and are interested in learning more, you are welcome to come!
If possible, please bring a snack food to share, such as chips or cookies. The library will provide drinks.
Everyone is welcome to bring their caching equipment to show off, such as a GPS, trackables, or examples of different types of caches.
The Ross Library began as the home of Lock Haven Mayor Robert Bridgens. It was later sold to Annie Halenbake Ross, who died in 1907 and left her house to the city, on the condition it be made into Lock Haven's first free public library. The library's doors opened for the first time on Thanksgiving Day, 1910.
