Dublin City Motocross Club, beside Alfie Byrne Road, is a project run by volunteers to facilitate dirt bike enthusiasts. The project not only provides the track for these daredevils but also aims to educate them in safety and the maintenance of the motorbike. The track has recently been revamped after years of hard work to get the go ahead for it. Motorcycling Ireland designed and oversaw the construction of the track, and together with North Dublin Motor Cycle Club (based in Gormanston, Co Meath), they are aiding this new club in organising and running events and with the training of new riders (both youths and adults).
