According to the Mayan calendar, the world is going to end on December 21, 2012.
And with the end of the world in mind, my thoughts drifted off to a Douglas Adams book called The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. In the book, people will enter the restaurant in the present time and they are whisked away to the far distant future to get a front row seat of the end of the universe. And to have a good meal while watching it!
And that lead me to the idea of having a Geocaching event at the end of the world! And we don't even need to travel in time as the end is coming to us! And since it is the end of the world, we can either go down screaming or with some dignity. Either way, we should at least have a belly full of food when it happens! But my money is a lot more screaming than dignity!
OK, so lunch time is not the end of the world, but seeing as how this is the Friday before Christmas, I thought I would get a better turnout for a lunch event over a dinner event.

It could be a regret in life, a gift in life, what you hope will happen, what you don't want to happen, whatever you want. So long as it has to do with the end of the world. We will all get a chance to proclaim our proclamations during the introductions!
