Immeuble R.-J.-F.-Lafleur Building

Immeuble de rapport construit en 1906 par l'architecte Cajetan Dufort pour Rose Joséphine Fanny Lafleur. Il se distingue par son appareil de brique formant différents motifs décoratifs et ses hautes travées de fenêtres cintrées.

Rose Joséphine Fanny Lafleur était l'épouse de Pierre-Paul Martin, un grossiste de tissus, d'articles de mercerie et de produits divers (dry goods). Celui-ci posséda entre autre le magasin-entrepôt Esprit-Généreux aux 40-50 rue Saint-Paul en 1900.

Selon le recensement de 1901, le couple Pierre-Paul et Rose Joséphine Fanny (dont l'époux a 25 ans de plus que son épouse !) habitent dans le quartier Saint-Jacques en compagnie de leurs fils Gustave, Charly et Rodolphe, ainsi que de leurs domestiques Joseph Morache et Alphonsine Bernier.

Apartment building built in 1906 by architect Cajetan Dufort for Fanny Rose Josephine Lafleur. It is distinguished by its brick forming various decorative high bays and arched windows.

Fanny Rose Josephine Lafleur was the wife of Pierre-Paul Martin, a wholesaler of fabrics, haberdashery and other products (dry goods). He also possessed the warehouse store Esprit-Généreux at 40-50 Saint-Paul street in 1900.

According to the 1901 census, the couple Pierre-Paul and Fanny Rose Josephine (whose husband is 25 years older than his wife!) live in Saint-Jacques ward with their son Gustave, Charlie and Rudolph, and their servants Joseph Morache and Alphonsine Bernier.
