Geocache Description:

I was in panic mode.
Christmas was only three weeks away and I hadn’t done any shopping yet.
I actually really hate shopping malls and on the rare occasion I do go there, I prefer to buy everything at once rather than making three or four trips.

I knew I had to buy 4 presents so here’s how I went about it:

Arriving inside I was feeling just a little hot, so even though I had my mind set on their hotdogs I choose to have a yum icecream. It cost me $3.45 but with the temperature outside at 33C I needed a refresher.

My first present was bought at the hair accessory shop. I needed a Kris Kringle for a female person and a hair band with funny antlers for an aggressively priced $3,30 was perfect (as the maximum amount to spend was $4).
The second present was a pair of runners for our daughter. I spend more rather than less, but I found a nice pair for $45.50 at the shoe store.

Feeling pretty pleased I remembered I needed another Kris Kringle for my cousin’s party and so returned to get myself another set of antlers.
The main present was a pair of earrings for my lovely wife. The Jewellers proudly had a sale on for 9ct earrings for $199 priced down from $399. Bargain!

Still having about $50 in my pocket, I decided to buy a knick knack for the house (no prices for guessing in which shop) for $38.30.
I was nearly done and luckily remembered that I needed some bread for the kid’s lunches and since they really like the local bakery’s product, I didn’t mind paying $4.40 for a loaf.

All that shopping made me hungry as well and so I finally got myself the hot dog that I really wanted. I thought $1.90 was a bargain. But as soon as I had my first bite I knew why it was so cheap.
In disgust I threw the hot dog in the bin and grabbed a chickenburger with seven secret herbs and spices on the way out. That was all I could afford as after getting back to the car, all I had left in my piggy bank was 70 ct.

Oh well, easy come easy go, at least I had finished my shopping for the year.
