NÅ HAR SMOTTENE FÅTT SITT EGET HOTELL FOR TB'ER OG GC'ER
Smottene lever et rolig og avslappende liv på Gammelgård, dypt inne i Smottemilskogen, i et land som heter Pellapasana.
En natt dukker et mystisk vesen opp på Gammelgård. Smottemor og Smottefar finner han inntullet i en geiteskinnspose. I hånden holder han en lapp, og på hodet har han en merkelig hatt. På toppen av hatten, i en ring, sitter det noen bitte små frø. Smottene oppdager til sin forferdelse at vesenets storetå sitter på innsiden, og lilletåa på yttersiden av foten, hvilket betyr at han må være fra et fremmed land. Det eneste han har til felles med Smottene, er snøpelsen under føttene. Smottene bestemmer seg for å adoptere han, og kaller han for Smottetass.
Smottene er Trysilfjellets egne maskoter. Du finner dem gjerne ute i bakkene på vinteren.
Kan ferdes en del gomper her, spesielt på vinteren så ta på usynlighetskappen 
NOW THE NOOKS HAVE GOT THEIR OWN HOTEL FOR TB'S AND GC's
The ancient Nooks live a peaceful and retiring life at Bygone Farm, deep within Nookhundred Forest, in a land called Pellapasana.
One night a mysterious little creature turns up on the farm. Pa and Ma Nook find him inside a goatskin bag, with a message in his hand and a funny hat on his head. At the top of his hat is a ring of strange seeds. The Nooks discover that the little creature’s big toe is innermost and his little toe outermost, so he must be from a faraway country. The only thing he has in common with them is the snow fur on the soles of his feet. The Nooks adopt him and call him Nookling.
Smottene (the Nookes) are the childrens favourite attraction in Trysil. You will meet them in the slopes, and on a lot of our activities during the season.
During winter a lot of muggels can be seen her, so a invisibility cloak is recommended
