Mountain Alder / Aulne crispé Traditional Cache
JNP/PNJ: While the cache has been repaired, I've been unable to find another Mountain Alder close to GZ that meets Parks Canada's geocaching guidelines. Since I'll be away from the park for the next four months I think it's best to Archive this listing for the time being.

If you find Mountain Alder (Alnus incana) in the Athabasca Valley chances are you are close to water. At higher elevations you’ll find alder in avalanche paths. Around you are a great variety of plants including lilies, orchids, violets and ginseng. Remember; take only photographs, leave only footprints.
