The old building to the South is the Kraemer Building. It was built in 1924 and is the only building left from what was downtown Anaheim. Redevelopment tore down the city center and replaced it with a grocery store, a fast food restaurant, and the ugliest quonset hut/ice rink on the planet. Someone made a lot of money but the people of Anaheim are poorer because of redevelopment. If you can be here on Mon-Fri, from 8:30 to 5:00, go inside and look at the ceiling for a glimpse of elegant design used many years ago. Another historic building is just South of Broadway on Anaheim Blvd. It is the old Packard car agency building and further South is a historic packing shed. The packing shed is the subject of one of my caches called Big Orange. Congratulations to Smoochermom to be FTF.
