J'ai hésité entre une mystère et une traditionnelle. Allons-y avec une traditionnelle... historique. Vous cherchez une nano. Je la classe non-hivernale car j'ai un doute sur son accessibilité en cas d'accumulation de neige. J'ajusterai cet hiver si nécessaire.
L'ère du transport à vapeur débuta en Amérique du Nord britannique avec le lancement à Montréal du bateau à aubes Accommodation, construit pour John Molson par John Jackson et John Bruce. Il mesurait 25,5 mètres de long et sa machinerie était de fabrication canadienne. Avec six membres d'équipage et dix passagers, il fit son premier voyage en novembre 1809 pour atteindre Québec en 36 heures de navigation. L'Accommodation n'eut pas de retombées commerciales mais il fut le précurseur de centaines de bateaux à vapeur qui sillonnèrent le pays par la suite. Il fut apparemment mis à la ferraille en 1811.
The age of steam transport began in British North America in 1809 with the launching at Montreal of Canada's first steamboat, the sidewheeler Accommodation. Built for John Molson by John Jackson and John Bruce, she was equipped with machinery of Canadian manufacture. The 25.5 metre vessel, with a crew of six and ten passengers, made her maiden voyage to Québec City in Novembre, 1809 in a running time of 36 hours. Though not a commercial success, the Accommodation was the forerunner of hundreds of steam-powered vessels that later plied the nation's waterways. She was apparently scrapped in 1811.
