NOTE: The published coordinates are NOT that of the hide. You have to calculate the final coordinates from those of Peak 3 as described below.
By now you’re most probably thinking “So who’s Radcliff?”. Well you see, when the Three Little Peaks trekked through the Swamps of Sadness, a dismal place where only those who have nothing left to live for ever go, they came across this melancholy Rockbiter. Rockbiters, as you should know, are large creatures made of stone and named so due to their diet, which consists exclusively of rocks. Although all little Cape Fold Mountain peaks know to steer well clear of Rockbiters, as they are particularly fond of sandstone, the Three Little Peaks couldn't resist enquiring about the Rockbiter’s despondent state of mind. It turned out Radcliff Rockbiter was ostracised by his family because he decided to become a vegetarian! Long story short, the Three Little Peaks convinced Radcliff to join them in their adventure and he settled with them in the Helderberg. Until this day Radcliff and the Three Little Peaks are the best of friends.
The cache: You’ll have to visit Peaks 2 & 3 to log this cache. Its D/T rating will therefore reflect the combined effort. Calculate the final coordinates for this mystery cache as follows:
If Peak 3’s final coordinates are S34° 02.xxx E18° 52.yyy,
Radcliff’s are S34° 02.(xxx+215) E18° 52.(yyy-133).
Please note that GPS reception will not be great at GZ and you’ll have to conquer some exposures on your way to the hide, but you don’t have to climb onto Radcliff’s head!
