Geocache Description:

Elusive, clever and shy, silvertops are known of but never or rarely seen.

I have been caching for almost two years now and I kept seeing signs of a Silvertop in the Richmond area.  Is Andy Worhal still alive?

So, much like snipes, I have used my skills I teach my Boy Scouts about snipe hunting to see if we can actually catch a silver top!
Some of these tricks include:
  1. Holes near a prize.  Covered in leaves these holes are deeper than they appear.  Once inthe hole, hopefully they cannot get out.
  2. Treasure hidden in trees.  Placed at the right hight, they will just be able to reach it, but not take it.  Too Stubborn to let it go, they will remain there until you can run up and grab them.
  3. Easy way in, but no way out?  Paths, many paths among confusing trees all in a row that eventually all look alike.  The snipe or silvertop may get lost and wander into your other traps.
There are a few more, but I cannot give them away.

So if you see a silvertop, be sure to grab a photo and post it here.
