The reason for this cache is simple - it's just a great view looking down on the market town of Abergavenny - day or night. It is up a little-used lane, and if you continue up the lane it will take you to the Foxhunter car park (underneath the masts) where you can walk to the trigpoint on the top of Blorenge on a well-established footpath.
Blorenge is a good-looking mountain seen from almost anywhere in Abergavenny, where it dominates views south-west from the town. I therefore thought it would be nice to look down onto Abergavenny from the mountain from an easily accessible point-of-view (the views from the top of Cwm Craf cirque are even better but an off-road walk is required).
The container itself is a small specimen tube. Please cover back over when you replace it.
This cache can be found as a cache-and-dash but it would be nice to stop a while to admire the view, which includes Abergavenny, the Skirrid, the Graig off to the right and Sugarloaf to the left.
Thanks to the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority for giving permission for this cache.
