Welcome to Biddeford's first and longest
running geocache.
Parking for the cache site is at N 43° 29.274 W 70° 26.873. The
trails begin on the right side of the parking lot (head towards the
tennis court, you'll see it). Really no need for bushwhacking,
although the woods are pretty nice for such activity.
Located off the Pool Road in Biddeford, this park is a mixed used
park, used by bicyclists, ATV users, and hikers alike. During the
wintertime, I've been informed that snowmobiles use the trails.
Please be warned that one player has reported inconsiderate ATV
users (I've spotted people from time to time, and they've been
friendly).
I turned this into a multi-stage cache, as home construction began
creeping closer to the cache. Some people were parking on the side
of the road near some of the new homes and bush-whacked a few
hundred yards to the cache.
From the parking lot, go to the waypoint. There, you'll see a sign
on a tree with a number. Using that number as the value A to get to
the cache:
N43 28.(3xA)-49
W70 26.(2xA)+136
This will get you to the cache.
During the late spring and summer times, the mosquitos are fairly
thick. There have been rumors that a couple of people have been
carried off by the little buggers, but I have no confirmation on
that. :)
If it's early spring, or it's been raining fairly heavy, there's
lots of low laying areas of water. Be prepared to get a bit
muddy.
The container is now a standard ammo box (these things are
great).
Overall, this should take about 1-2 hours.
