A Failed Multi Stage Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

coachstahly: Went to chck on this one and while it was just fine, the area around it has changed. Poison ivy has grown up around the cache site and a tree has fallen. Rather than make cachers deal with that, I'm choosing to archive it. Container has already been retrieved. It was nice while it lasted.

Geocache Description:

This unknown cache IS at the posted coordinates and you'll be looking for a container, size unknown.  Parking at the provided coordinates will give you the easiest and quickest access point to finding this cache.  The Monon Trail Greenway is open dawn to dusk 365 days a year.  NO NIGHT CACHING!

By now, most everyone knows that I absolutely LOVE multi-caches.  Except for 2 SCUBA caches and one that's been kicking my butt for the past year, I have all the multi-caches claimed within a 30 mile radius of my home coordinates.  I'll even drive up to 50 miles to claim a multi FTF on occasion!

Anyway, I've been working on a new multi since late July and placed all the stages in early August.  Well, the property owners didn't want this particular stage placed where it was (their perogative since it's their property) and there really wasn't any other location on the property that this container would work.  I've had it sitting in my garage for the past 4 months gathering dust, wondering if I just wasted my time making it.  A new idea for a series of caches popped into my head and this one came to mind again.  The only problem I was having was where to place it.  I was out scouting a location for a different hide when I came upon this spot.  It's not perfect (but still pretty good) but the location will make sense once you find the cache.

Once you arrive at GZ the container should be relatively easy to spot; getting the log to be able to sign it will be a slightly different story. Most cachers that have been caching for an extended period of time will know what to do once they find the container. Newer cachers might not catch on immediately but should be able to figure it out rather quickly. This particular version will be more difficult if you're caching alone, easier if caching with someone else. There is no need to take anything apart in order to sign the log. BYOP just to be safe!
