Maple Ridge fire/rescue was established in 1946 as the Maple Ridge volunteer fire department and has since grown to 3 firehalls, 50 dedicated paid-on-call firefighters, 48 full-time firefighters, six chief officers, and three administrative support staff.
Firehall 2 was built in 1972 to supplement hall #1 and provide speedier service to the citizens of the east side of Maple Ridge. *Please don't park in front of the buidling *
