You need plenty of time to explore the sites on the Wanganui river road, and the Otumaire camp site is a great place to base your weekend activities. Otumaire camp site is a free public camping area well sing posted on the road side, maintained by the District councile with a tap with clean running water and one toilet area, with a walk track leading down to the Wanganui river. Otumaire camp site is located at exactly the half way mark between Pipiriki and Wanganui where you can stop and ether camp or just stop for a picnic with the family while locating some of the Geocaches along this road, with a feel of being in the wilderness. The cache is a 1 liter sistema container, contianing a log book and a few swops. No hint should be needed as this should be a strate forward cache to find.
