Cache commemorates Darrdane's 1000th find.
This cache is located in Verona State Park. . . across the road from the park office. . . no admission fee needed. The parking is the same as for Budwind's GAC. . . same hiking loop. Do not try to access this cache from Poppleton Road. Black Creek runs in the middle, and it's quite wide where and the bridge is out. There is no need to bushwhack. . . until maybe the last 100-150'.
The reception is not always easy in this part of the park, so we made the hide be pretty easy. . . although there are a few decoys. . . please replace them as found too!
Hunting is permitted, so remember to wear blaze orange during hunting season. Horse back riding is permitted, so watch where you put your feet!
I really don't know anything about Darrdane. He has never been to an event and I have never met him, but I like the local tradition of placing a GAC for a cacher who reaches 1000 finds, and I want everyone to feel included and keep the tradition growing. Go find it, and have fun!
