I Am a Rock (Wellington) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

brucewwnz: It was time for this cache's annual checkup and ... I couldn't find it. Being keen not to leave any geoliotter, I spent a number of minutes checking the surrounding area to no avail. I then needed to decide if I was willing to put down a replacement and, after weighing up a number of factors, the answer I came up with was no.

Nearly 12 years is a reasonably long life for a cache and the location is no longer the good one it was when I first placed it in 2013. I had planned to keep it alive until I archived the Sweet Little Mystery cache (GC429TP) but instead I will reveal the details that were on the clue card. These are: Patricia, Lavender, Pakistan, Lacrosse, Mercedes and Tortilla.

A big thank you to the 146 who found this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is one of five that contain clues to enable you to discover the co-ordinates to a cache named Sweet Little Mystery (GC429TP).

To get to this cache, firstly follow the track that has been named after Frank H. Phillips until you reach a track into the Witako Scenic Reserve. After a walk of about fifty metres, you will reach a small clearing where there is a choice of routes. At this point, take the track that goes to the left and follow this until you reach the cache site. The track is easy to follow.

The cache contains a laminated clue card. Please do not remove this from the cache or provide the information on it to cachers who did not accompany you on the cache search. Should the card be missing, the information is also handwritten at the front of the logbook.
