This is one of several caches along part of the Sentiero Viandante, between Castello di Vezio, above Varenna, and the little town of Bellano, by Lake Como. It is a lovely walk, with great views of the lake, and it is possible to get boat, bus or train back.
This cache is hidden near to Cappeleta del Addolorata (Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows), perched by the side of the path overlooking Bellano. The chapel was built in 1935 and has the words 'Mater Salvatore' written above the entrance.
