.L'Homme qui rit est un roman philosophique de Victor Hugo publié en avril 1869 dont l’action se déroule dans l’Angleterre de la fin du xviieet du début du xviiie siècle. Il est notamment célèbre pour la figure mutilée dans un rire permanent de son héros éponyme qui a fortement inspiré le monde littéraire et cinématographique. Par contre pour nous ce n'est pas un roman mais des peintures.


The Man Who Laughs is a philosophical novel by Victor Hugo published in April 1869 in which the action takes place in England in the late xviieet the early eighteenth century. It is famous for the figure mutilated in a permanent laugh its eponymous hero who has greatly inspired the literary and film. By cons for us it is not a novel but paintings
